Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students in the San Jose, CA area. You'll have the chance to provide essential therapeutic services across two dynamic educational siteshelping students thrive in their daily activities and academic goals in a collaborative and supportive environment. This is a full-time assignment with immediate start, running through June 11.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure as per the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience in pediatric therapy, with a strong foundation in developmental disabilities
  • Prior experience working within educational settings preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Adaptable, communicative, and passionate about supporting student growth and independence
  • Must be available for onsite work at assigned schools; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and consultations within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans specific to students distinct needs
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to create nurturing, accessible learning experiences
  • Document therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with district and professional standards
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing valuable input to inform educational strategies
  • Support student success in both classroom and daily functional activities
