Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting students in a dynamic ESY program for the summer. This engaging role focuses on providing therapy services tailored to a transitional kindergarten through 8th-grade caseload, spanning approximately 19 students within a single campus setting. Youll make a tangible difference, delivering both individual and group therapy while collaborating closely with educational staff.
Your schedule will run Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM, from June 15 to July 10. This part-time, school-based position is an excellent fit for a professional who enjoys working with children and values the unique connections formed in education. With a carefully balanced caseload and supportive environment, your expertise will empower students to reach their fullest potential in the extended school year program.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Prior school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Skills in Home Health, Teletherapy, and Healthcare OT environments are advantageous
- Ability to manage therapy for a diverse, TK8 caseload
- Strength in group and individual therapy sessions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct OT services to a range of students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to develop individual and group therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and licensing requirements
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere that supports each students growth
