Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license recognized by the state
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly valued
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Compassionate, patient approach when working with diverse student populations
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Address fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Work side-by-side with educators and family members to support student development
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct interventions and recommend adaptive equipment or strategies to maximize student success
