An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support elementary school students in a dynamic school setting located in San Diego, CA. This contract position for the current school year offers the chance to contribute to the educational development and well-being of young learners by providing specialized OT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective therapy plans.
- Assess student needs, monitor progress, and document outcomes.
- Adapt interventions to support students academic success and functional independence within the school environment.
- Participate in meetings and contribute professional expertise to enhance student support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Knowledge of pediatric OT practices and ability to tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school personnel and families.
- Familiarity with educational regulations and IEP processes.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
