A contract Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in San Diego, CA, providing valuable support within a school setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students to identify needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve students functional abilities in academic and daily living activities
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute therapeutic insights and recommendations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based practice
• Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques appropriate for school-age children
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with school laws and regulations related to special education and therapy services
