Job Description

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving and team support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine their functional abilities within the school setting
  • Design and deliver tailored interventions that address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and other developmental needs
  • Gather input and provide recommendations for IEP meetings, progress reports, and documentation
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive strategies in both classroom and home environments
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing training
