Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity supporting a diverse student population as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on fostering growth for students ages 3 to 22 with mild to severe, multiple disabilities in a flexible, full-time/full-school-year setting.

Leverage your expertise by performing thorough assessments using the BOT-3 and Peabody, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and creating impactful recommendations for services. As an itinerant provider, youll enjoy the autonomy to design your weekly schedule according to district needs, visiting multiple school sites throughout the area. Since the caseload is ever-evolving, adaptability and a strong analytical approach to student data are essential, particularly when addressing parent concerns and making service recommendations.

What youll bring:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in California.
  • Experience working in school-based OT settings, supporting children and young adults (ages 3-22).
  • Proficiency administering the BOT-3 and Peabody to students with a broad range of disabilities.
  • Comfort delivering services across various sites within the area; reliable transportation necessary (mileage is not reimbursed).
  • Ability to effectively interpret and use data to guide service recommendations and communicate clearly with parents and educational staff.
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to manage a fluctuating caseload and shifting priorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive assessments and ongoing therapy for students with multiple and complex needs.
  • Consultation with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure individualized strategies for student success.
  • Timely documentation and progress monitoring.
  • Active participation in IEP meetings and relevant district planning.
