As part of a collaborative special education team, youll build relationships with students, families, and staff, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 30 students presenting with a range of disabilities.
Candidates should be ready to thrive in an educational setting, designing and implementing interventions that help children achieve greater independence and participation in school activities. The contract position spans the entire 20262027 school year, with part-time hours totaling 19 per week.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (MN OT License)
- Previous experience or enthusiasm for working in school settings
- Solid understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and interventions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments, develop individualized plans, and implement interventions for elementary students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
