Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as an Occupational Therapist supporting diverse student needs. This full-time role offers approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and provides the unique chance to make a significant impact within educational settings near Saint Paul, MN.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Minnesota (MN), independent practice required; supervision is not provided.
- Previous experience in schools, home health, or broader healthcare OT environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of behavioral support strategies and intervention for students with varying disabilities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management abilities.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with a wide range of behavioral and developmental needs, tailoring support plans to individual student goals.
- Administer assessments, develop individualized education program (IEP) goals, and document progress with clarity and detail.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, holistic solutions for student growth.
- Provide consultation and resources to school staff to facilitate adaptations and classroom success.
- Advocate for accessibility and full participation of all students within educational programs and activities.
