Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 learners as an Occupational Therapist with a school-based contract for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site position spans diverse schools across the North and West areas near Saint Johns, FL, providing critical OT services to students with a variety of needs. As an itinerant therapist, your days will be varied and impactful, offering direct engagement and collaboration with students, educators, and families.
What Were Looking For:
- Current, active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to handle itinerant assignments and comfortable traveling between multiple sites within a region
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and providing related services in educational environments
- Proficiency in supporting a caseload with flexible approachesexact caseload specifics to be confirmed
- Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills
- Meets time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting (process provided; reprints may be required if previous clearance is not verifiable via AHCA Clearinghouse)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy interventions for students across grades K-12, promoting participation and independence
- Develop and implement IEP goals, maintain detailed records, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Liaise with educators, support staff, and families to ensure holistic and coordinated support for each child
- Adapt therapeutic strategies across multiple school environments, tailoring services to each locations unique needs
- Fulfill compliance and documentation requirements per district and state standards
