Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but open to candidates with strong pediatric backgrounds
- Knowledgeable in individualized education programs (IEP) processes
- Strong assessment, documentation, and therapy planning skills
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and students
- Adaptable and creative when addressing diverse student needs
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and travel between sites as necessary
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students functional abilities and needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement goals and therapy plans aligned with IEP objectives
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, fostering participation in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to modify materials and the educational environment for student success
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer training and resources for staff to support students occupational growth
