Job Description

Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners. This onsite position focuses on early intervention services for children ages 34, collaborating closely with a specialized team to make a lasting impact during critical developmental years. The role offers a unique split schedule: work onsite four hours daily, four days a week, with two days spent in the northern area and two in the southern area.

Your contribution will provide vital support as either an Occupational Therapist (OT) or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). If youre a COTA, supervision will be ensured by a qualified OT. The academic year assignment runs from early August to late May (dates subject to change), allowing you to plan ahead and become an essential member of an interactive, compassionate team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Louisiana OT or COTA license required
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based settings (particularly early intervention) preferred
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing services onsite
  • Passion for improving functional skills and participation in young children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy interventions for children ages 34
  • Participate in early intervention team meetings and contribute to individualized plans
  • Maintain accurate records, data, and reports as required
  • Work collaboratively with families and early childhood educators
  • Ensure best practices and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • If COTA, work under the supervision of a licensed OT
