Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid, active Texas Occupational Therapy license required
  • Fingerprinting/background check per school district guidelines
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Open to highly qualified COTAs with multiple years of school or pediatric experience
  • Must not be a former employee of district nor previously terminated from a school district (affidavit required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students ages 321 across 67 assigned schools within a designated zone
  • Evaluate students and contribute to ARD/IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation with SHARES/Onward software and Excel logs
  • Manage caseload of approximately 70 (3040 direct service, remainder consult)
  • Use district office as home base for travel between assigned schools
