Make an impact by supporting K-8 students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in a school setting. This contract position invites passionate therapy professionals to help children access education to their fullest potential. Work with a manageable caseload of 12-15 students in an educational environment, collaborating with teachers, families, and support teams.
Ideal candidates have experience working in schools or pediatric settings and are motivated to help diverse students grow and thrive. Flexible scheduling is available, with opportunities to work between 16-28 hours across 2-5 days a weekperfect for those seeking a balanced work week alongside a rewarding clinical focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Background in school-based occupational therapy (preference for K-8 experience)
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and therapy reporting
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services for K-8 students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress reviews
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to support student participation and success
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
