Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Illinois
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and learning environments
- A passion for helping students achieve functional success in the classroom and beyond
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students of varying ages and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student progress and strategies
- Document goals, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and state requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Use therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve students participation and performance in academic and daily activities
