Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York
- Experience in school-based OT services; additional background in home health or teletherapy is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills working with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Comfortable evaluating and developing individualized plans for K-3 students
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to classroom, home, or virtual settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-3 students within a supportive school community
- Assess and document students functional abilities and therapy needs
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to foster participation and independence in academic and daily activities
- Consult regularly with classroom teachers and parents to ensure therapy goals are incorporated into students educational plans
- Maintain accurate, compliant records of services, progress, and communications
- Adapt service delivery to include on-site, home, and teletherapy platforms as needed
