Key qualifications and requirements:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (proof requiredbe prepared to submit a screenshot as part of your application)
- Proven experience delivering occupational therapy services in a school setting
- In-depth knowledge of educational best practices for K-12 populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams, educators, administrators, and families
- Compassionate and student-focused approach
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in K-12, supporting their participation and success in academic activities
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain compliance with IEP goals and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to integrate therapy into the classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to planning sessions
- Educate families and staff on strategies to promote student independence and participation
