This onsite opportunity places you at the heart of creating meaningful change for children while working alongside passionate educational professionals. Located in the vibrant Riverside, CA area, this contract role offers full-time hours (40 per week) with a focus on meeting both student needs and your personal preferences.
Youll have the chance to collaborate with school staff and families, helping to develop and implement plans that address the unique challenges faced by your caseload. The exact age groups and caseload will be determined, with efforts made to match you with assignments near your preferred location.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for California (CA OT License)
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and diverse student needs
- Team-oriented mindset with a patient, compassionate approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite occupational therapy to students, supporting their educational and functional goals
- Partner with teachers and families to develop individualized treatment plans
- Complete necessary documentation and progress reports per school and regulatory requirements
- Attend team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Deliver evidence-based interventions while adapting strategies for student success
