This full-time, 40-hour-per-week opportunity places you near Riverside, California, where your expertise will help students achieve their fullest potential academically and personally. Licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) with experience in schools or healthcare settings are highly encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapy (OT) license in good standing
- Previous experience as an OT or COTA in a school or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessments, interventions, and documentation related to IEPs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to various needs across K-12 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Occupational Therapy services to students as outlined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional and academic needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide input on student progress
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions that support student success and access to curriculum
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Offer training and support to staff and families as needed for student carryover of OT strategies
