To excel in this position, you should demonstrate:
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist within K-12 schools, healthcare, or home health settings
- Comfort and capability working with teletherapy platforms
- Valid OT licensure in California
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to adapting therapy methods to meet individual needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments for students with a variety of abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans to promote engagement in school, self-care, and daily living skills
- Delivering direct therapy services both onsite and through teletherapy
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to IEP meetings
- Providing training and education for school staff and families when needed
