Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in California required
  • Prior experience in school-based therapy, with adaptability for home health, healthcare, and teletherapy environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Proficient in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Comfort with managing diverse caseloads, including mild to moderate and moderate to severe disabilities
  • Familiarity with a broad range of intervention techniques tailored to school-aged children
  • Flexibility to adapt to multiple school settings and caseloads throughout the assignment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and deliver direct services in accordance with IEP goals
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans to support student participation and achievement
  • Consult with families, teachers, and staff to ensure carryover of therapeutic interventions
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms when appropriate to provide continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate records and submit required documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student support
  • Serve as a resource to staff regarding strategies, equipment, and classroom modifications
