Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in a welcoming school environment near Rio Rancho, NM. This full-time, in-person role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse student groupprimarily elementary-agedempowering them to achieve their highest potential with your Occupational Therapy expertise.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience with school-aged populations, especially in school-based settings, is highly preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 30 students, primarily elementary level
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to deliver exceptional care
- Strong time management, communication, and documentation skills
- Positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting student development
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across elementary, and some middle and high school settings
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate OT recommendations into daily routines and IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team consultations
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student success
