Occupational Therapist Opportunity in a School Setting - Ridgefield, WA

This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12 within a dynamic school district in Ridgefield, WA. The assignment runs from early January 2021 through mid-June 2022, serving a caseload of approximately 55 students. The role supports children with diverse needs, promoting their functional independence and success in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students based on evaluations and assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Monitor and document student progress and update treatment plans accordingly
  • Provide consultative support to staff on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure compliance with district and state regulations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current ESA credential in Occupational Therapy suitable for school settings
  • Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) within public schools
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students with various needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with education teams and families
  • Flexibility to accommodate interview scheduling and quick decision-making processes
