Job Description

This full-time, on-site position is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist or a seasoned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant seeking to make a meaningful impact across 67 schools, all thoughtfully assigned within a specific zone to align with your ZIP code.

As a vital member of a collaborative special education team, you will primarily provide consultative and direct treatment servicesaiming for a manageable caseload of approximately 70 students, with direct intervention for 3040 students at varying intervals. Much of your focus will be on conducting thorough evaluations, contributing your expertise in ARDs, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation using SHARES and Onward software.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active Texas OT license (required)
  • Extensive experience in schools or pediatric settings (required for COTAs)
  • Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload across multiple campuses
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, evaluation procedures, and ARD participation
  • Comfortable working without COTA support; role is autonomous
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Must not be a former employee of the district
  • Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting if not current

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services for a broad age range (321 years)
  • Complete evaluations and routine re-assessments
  • Participate actively in ARDs and team meetings
  • Maintain meticulous records in designated software platforms
  • Work typical hours (8:004:00, some 7:303:30 days) following districts full-time schedule
  • Ensure all credentialing and interview requirements are fulfilled prior to start
