Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced candidate to contribute to the well-being and development of students in a K-12 school setting. This role is based in Renton, WA, and focuses on providing essential therapeutic services to help students achieve their educational goals through improvedfunctional abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Commitment to enhancing student outcomes through therapy

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate occupational therapy goals within the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights regarding students therapeutic needs
  • Maintain professional records and comply with all regulatory requirements
