Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable working with students across K-12 (elementary through high school)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and implement customized therapy plans
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to determine needs for occupational therapy services
- Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable therapy goals
- Work directly with students in group and one-on-one settings to support motor skills, sensory integration, and student participation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all educational and therapy regulations
- Support classroom adaptations and provide consultative services to staff
