Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to an engaging summer assignment in a supportive educational setting. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference for TK8th grade students in an Extended School Year (ESY) program. You'll work closely with a diverse group of approximately 19 students, providing both individual and group therapeutic services on a single campus.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working in schools, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Comfort delivering OT services to children and adolescents
- Ability to manage group sessions and adapt to varied therapy needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators and families
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering occupational therapy in accordance with students IEPs
- Conducting both individual and small-group therapy sessions
- Collaborating with teachers and school teams to support each students goals
- Documenting progress, maintaining clear records, and updating plans as needed
- Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers
- Offering expertise to enhance student participation in learning and school activities
Assignment Details:
- June 15 July 10
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 12:30 PM
- Serving a single campus with a varied caseload (TK8th grade)
