Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting in Reading, PA. This direct hire position is ideal for therapists passionate about helping children achieve their developmental and educational goals through tailored occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students needs and develop individualized therapy plans to support learning and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all school, state, and federal regulations related to therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Experience providing pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school or educational environment.
  • Strong understanding of educational goals and the ability to design therapy strategies that align with academic requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage children with various developmental challenges.
