Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students across elementary, middle, and high school levels as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time contract position offers an in-person role, working 37.5 hours each week, and invites you to make a meaningful impact on developing minds within a vibrant school community near Ranchos De Taos, NM.
Your primary focus will be a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, with the majority in elementary grades. Youll play a crucial part in helping students reach their fullest potential by supporting motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive functioning in the classroom environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure for school-based practice.
- Prior experience in school settings, especially with elementary-age children, is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of educationally relevant OT interventions across multiple school levels.
- Exceptional communication and documentation abilities.
- Adaptability and a passion for collaborative work with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services to students of varying needs and ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing primarily on elementary students.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth and participation in daily learning.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and accommodations.
- Document progress, maintain compliance with administrative requirements, and ensure quality care at every step.
