This full-time occupational therapy position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic school setting located in Ranchos De Taos, NM. The role involves providing direct OT services primarily to elementary school students, with a caseload of approximately 30 students. Working 37.5 hours per week, this in-person role supports student development and fosters progress in their educational and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, focusing mainly on elementary-aged children
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professional insights to enhance student support services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant state certification
- Prior experience working within school settings preferred, involving elementary school students
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and educational environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
