Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement effective interventions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to fostering student potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students functional abilities and create individualized treatment strategies
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate OT goals within the classroom environment
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions addressing fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting
- Document assessments, interventions, and students progress in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Provide recommendations and resources to assist students in accessing the curriculum and developing independence
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for all learners
