This position is tailored for an Occupational Therapist (OT) eager to work within school settings, collaborating with educators and support staff to help students achieve their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience providing OT services in school environments preferred
- Proficient in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized therapy plans
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEPs, goal setting, and progress documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students abilities and needs to develop effective OT plans in the educational context
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services according to IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with families to carry over therapeutic strategies at home when necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffing, and ongoing professional development
