Job Description

School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) K8 in Prairie Village Kansas

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to support approximately 50 K8 students within a school-based setting. The OT will work collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff to help students develop the functional, sensory, motor, and self-regulation skills needed for academic success and participation in the school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K8 students
  • Support fine motor, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care, and classroom participation skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active state OT license
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
