Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
  • Ability to adapt intervention strategies to different developmental stages
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students functional abilities and develop tailored OT plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students in elementary, middle, and high school
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education staff to optimize student participation
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with regulatory and procedural guidelines
  • Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
