Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active NM Occupational Therapist licensure required
  • Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
  • Strong skills in direct therapy services, assessment, and report-writing
  • Ability to travel between sites as an itinerant provider
  • Organized, collaborative, and committed to evidence-based practices
  • Must be available for on-site work (not virtual/VOCO)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to a diverse student caseload, helping students gain skills for academic participation and functional daily living
  • Complete thorough occupational therapy evaluations and write comprehensive, timely reports
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Travel between designated school locations as an itinerant therapist, maintaining responsiveness to student needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations, assistive technology, and strategies to support student achievement
