Job Description

Take on a rewarding part-time opportunity as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students at a welcoming district. This contract position spans from May 5, 2026, through June 5, 2026. The role involves direct student support in both Portage and Valparaiso locations, including coverage at the SELF school in Valparaiso.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active state license in Occupational Therapy (OT) or as a COTA (required).
  • Experience delivering OT services in school settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.
  • Ability to adapt interventions based on student needs and school protocols.
  • Familiarity with documentation systems for student progress.
  • Must submit license and resume for consideration.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students per IEPs and 504 plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student participation in educational activities.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings as needed to discuss student needs and progress.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: May 5, 2026 June 5, 2026.
  • Schedule: 14 hours per week, two days per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Work hours: 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch).
  • Multiple site coverage within the district.
