This opportunity seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to K-12 students in a school setting. The position is a contract role based onsite in Port Jervis, NY, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the school year. The caseload includes students aged from kindergarten through age 22, allowing for diverse therapeutic interventions and developmental support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and documentation tailored to the educational needs of K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating supportive learning environments
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current New York State Occupational Therapist license is required
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-12 populations
- Strong understanding of educational goals, student development, and therapeutic techniques within school environments
- Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain accurate records
