Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in Michigan
  • Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with educators, students, and families
  • Ability to develop, implement, and adapt individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
  • Familiarity with IEPs and documentation for compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessments and develop evidence-based OT treatment plans for students, addressing fine/gross motor, sensory, and functional skills
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to promote inclusive learning
  • Document progress and maintain up-to-date, accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued member of multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services, adapting strategies as needed
  • Educate staff and caregivers on interventions that can be effectively used in the classroom or at home
