Job Description

Make an impact supporting students in the Pontiac, MI area as a contract Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. Work with a diverse range of learners, from kindergarten through age 26, helping them achieve greater independence and success in their educational environments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (required)
  • Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs
  • Evaluate and assess student functional abilities and barriers to academic participation
  • Develop and deliver individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with school policies
  • Consult with faculty and participate in IEP meetings as part of the educational team
