Exciting opportunities await for Occupational Therapists passionate about making a difference in K-12 education! Two contract positions are open for the 2026-2027 school year, serving schools in the vibrant Pontiac, MI area. With full-time hours (35 per week) from August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027 (dates tentative), you'll provide crucial occupational therapy services to students across multiple grade levels.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active Michigan OT license (please include a screenshot of current licensure with your application)
- Prior experience delivering occupational therapy services in school-based settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and adapting interventions for K-12 students
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct treatment to students per IEP requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights for student success
- Develop and implement interventions that promote student independence and academic engagement
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with legal regulations
- Engage families in their childs therapy process, offering strategies for ongoing support
