Job Description

Make a difference in students lives as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting schools in Jacksonville, FL for the 20262027 academic year. This engaging, contract-based role involves collaborating with multiple campuses throughout the North and West sides of the city, working onsite and providing vital services to help students achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will help foster independence and enable students of varying ages to thrive in the classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active, valid Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to suit diverse needs and age groups
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites (itinerant model)
  • Must complete or verify current fingerprints through the AHCA Clearinghouse; successful applicants will be guided through the JLA badge process

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students as assigned
  • Collaborate with teachers and school teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with school district policies
  • Consult with families and staff to support student participation and success
  • Adapt and implement interventions to meet evolving caseload needs
  • Travel between assigned campuses within your region, ensuring consistent and high-quality services
