Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid state OT license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet various student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to support their learning and daily participation
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classrooms and resource settings
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support for each student
  • Monitor progress, document sessions, and maintain timely and thorough case notes and compliance with school and legal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and advocating for appropriate accommodations and strategies
  • Offer training and resources for staff and families to support generalization of skills across school environments
