Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois state license in Occupational Therapy (OT) required
  • Experience in a school-based OT setting, ideally at the elementary level
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with fellow professionals, families, and students
  • Knowledge of state and district-specific requirements for school-based OT services
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility strongly preferred
  • Proven organizational skills and commitment to individualized, student-centered care

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to elementary-aged students across various classroom settings
  • Collaborate on IEP teams, preparing and maintaining student documentation
  • Perform evaluations and re-evaluations, setting measurable goals for functional school-based outcomes
  • Consult with teachers and other school staff to integrate OT strategies into daily activities
  • Participate in parent meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to support comprehensive student success
  • Maintain compliance with state, district, and FERPA guidelines
