Job Description

Exciting contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist eager to make an impact in a dynamic school setting near Plainfield, IL! This opportunity extends from now through May 25, 2027, supporting four distinct schoolsranging from elementary through high school. Key Qualifications:

  • Active and valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license (please provide your license number when applying)
  • Experience or keen interest in school-based occupational therapy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across multiple locations
  • Ability to travel locally between buildings as needed
  • Commitment to providing in-person services (remote work not available)
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn caseload management based on service minutes instead of student count

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services across two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school
  • Adapt interventions and treatment plans to meet the varying needs of students aged 5-18
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessment, and progress monitoring as required by the district
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the districts minute-based caseload system (8,000-9,000 minutes per quarter)
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student growth and participation
  • Work a consistent 35-hour week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day
