Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Occupational Therapist working with elementary, middle, and high school settings. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting students functional skills, promoting independence, and helping them reach their fullest potential during the school year. Enjoy the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours, with opportunities of up to 40 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility to practice in the state
- Experience working in school environments, especially with children and adolescents
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for multiple age groups, from elementary to high school
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and caregivers
- Comfortable conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and tracking progress
- Positive attitude and dedication to empowering students with diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students individually or in groups across various grade levels
- Assess students needs and create tailored interventions to support skills such as fine motor coordination, self-care, and sensory processing
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and regular progress reporting
- Partner closely with educators and families to support holistic student development
