This opportunity seeks a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting in Philadelphia, PA. The role is a contract position ideal for professionals passionate about helping children develop the skills they need to succeed academically, socially, and physically.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students fine motor, sensory, and functional performance skills
- Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to each students needs and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement strategies that promote student progress
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Provide consultation and resources to classroom staff to support inclusive practices
Qualifications:
- State license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with school-age children in educational environments
- Strong knowledge of pediatric OT assessments, treatment techniques, and school-based therapy models
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and reporting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and regulatory requirements
