Job Description
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to provide leave coverage at a K-5th grade school located in Philadelphia, PA. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment supporting the developmental and therapeutic needs of students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services to students in grades K-5 consistent with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress.
- Providing interventions designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
- Adhering to school policies, confidentiality standards, and state regulations related to occupational therapy.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Valid license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with K-12 school-aged children, particularly in early elementary grades.
- Ability to implement evidence-based therapy approaches in educational settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy or related healthcare settings is highly beneficial.
