This opportunity is for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students across multiple K-12 schools in the Colorado Springs, CO area during the 2025-26 school year. The position offers a full-time contract with 37.5 hours per week, as well as a part-time option providing 60 minutes per month for in-home services. The role involves delivering both direct and indirect occupational therapy services under a caseload model, with responsibilities including evaluations, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and ongoing student support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop treatment plans aligned with student goals
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in school and home settings
- Collaborate with educational teams to integrate therapy goals into academic programming
- Document services accurately and ensure compliance with IEP requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Occupational Therapist License and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teaching Certification
- Familiarity with caseload-based service delivery models in the educational environment
- Experience working with K-12 students across multiple school settings
- Ability to perform both school-based and home health occupational therapy services
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
Additional Details:
- The district utilizes a caseload model with multiple schools assigned to the therapist
- Administrative time and paid team meetings are provided as part of the workweek
- Interviews are conducted via Zoom or in-person, with hiring decisions made as soon as possible
- Fingerprinting and credentials verification are required prior to starting
