Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services within a school setting in Petaluma, CA. This full-time, onsite contract position encompasses the delivery of direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students, including managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), conducting evaluations, and collaborating with the educational team to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough student evaluations to assess occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services aimed at enhancing students functional abilities.
  • Deliver indirect support through consultation and collaboration with educators and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Social Work License (IL SSW License) required.
  • Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations and developing effective IEPs.
  • Ability to provide both direct and indirect occupational therapy services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy services is an asset.
