Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade on a contract basis. This role is on-site, covering multiple school locations and providing services to an approximate caseload of 55 students. The assignment is set to begin August 6, 2026, and continue through February 12, 2027, with the possibility of extension for the full academic year.
You will deliver direct occupational therapy interventions tailored to each students IEP goals, supporting their functional skill development and optimizing their participation across educational environments. Your collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families will be key in ensuring students needs are met. Attendance and leadership at IEP meetings, comprehensive documentation, and active engagement in student progress tracking are essential components of this position.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- Background providing OT services within a school setting (TK12)
- Strong experience leading and participating in IEP meetings
- Familiarity with SEIS is preferred
- Proficient in technology with the ability to navigate digital platforms for documentation and communication
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Organized, with strong attention to accurate record-keeping
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to a diverse caseload across several school sites
- Assess, plan, and implement strategies aligned with student IEPs
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings as both a team member and leader when needed
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation and service logs
- Consult with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student success
