Job Description

Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to a dynamic school setting, supporting a diverse student population through the summer session. This rewarding contract position, conveniently located near Peabody, MA, runs from July 6th to August 13th, 2026. You'll work Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 22 hours per weeka schedule designed with your work-life balance in mind.

In this role, you'll contribute your skills as a School Occupational Therapist (OT) to both PreK and high school students. You'll primarily engage with young learners who present social-emotional and behavioral needs, as well as some elementary students on the autism spectrum. Additionally, you'll work alongside high school students with ASD, helping them develop the tools they need to thrive educationally and personally.

Ideal candidates bring:

  • An active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
  • Previous experience in school-based OT, with familiarity supporting both younger and older students
  • Understanding of social-emotional, behavioral, and autism spectrum needs in educational environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust strategies for a varied caseload

Role responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and crafting individualized treatment plans
  • Delivering direct occupational therapy services tailored to student goals
  • Participating in IEP meetings and progress reviews
  • Documenting sessions and outcomes in accordance with school guidelines
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, aides, families, and related specialists
