Step into a rewarding contract position providing essential Occupational Therapy services to students in a supportive, school-based environment near Palmer, AK. Working face-to-face with students, youll play a key role in their development and educational success throughout the school year.
Skills & Experience Desired:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license, with current AK Licensure required
- TYPE C Certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work exclusively onsite; virtual/remote (VOCO) services are not part of this role
- AK-Certified candidates strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person occupational therapy services to students on an established caseload, averaging approximately 1,000 direct contact minutes per week
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in conjunction with educational teams
- Assess students abilities and craft tailored interventions to support success within academic settings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school district and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to support students educational goals
- Attend pertinent team meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress reviews
This assignment runs through the current school year, concluding on 5/21/27, and offers 37.5 hours per week in a dynamic, collaborative environment. With three openings available, youll join a group of professionals passionate about student growth and well-being.
